2 Best Places For Dining and Entertainment In Orlando, Florida

Visiting the Orlando, Florida is not all Disney parks and Universal Studios. Both of these major attractions have developed the 2 best places to hang out for Dining, Entertainment and Shopping. These two places in itself are worth the visit for a day or a night with lots of walking around. They are both so huge that you should expect to walk long distances. Expect to be entertained, to spend some money and also to be fed. We always have fun discovering these places. I can come here day or night. These 2 places never fails to entertain.
Disney never stops creating and developing. The newly named and re-designed Disney Springs is larger and more entertaining as ever. Whether you visit at day or night, there are lots of entertainment, dining and shopping around here.
Dining
1. We had dinner at Fulton's Crab House for delicious American seafood dishes. We dined in an actual River boat docked right there by the lake. As you can see from the photo above, there was also free musical entertainment outside.
2. For lunch, we tried T-Rex for some Guac-Asaurus Burger made with layers of guacamole, fried onion ring, pepper jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and waffle fries. This burger was huge. Prepare to be scared and entertained by the dinosaurs display all around. There is even a 15 minute meteor show with all of the dinosaurs in the restaurants going crazy and making sounds. This place is quite loud and entertaining.
3. At night, the Starbucks here is the only Starbucks I know with a live band playing outside.
4. This is also the place for the famous Planet Hollywood.
5. There is the ever busy Rainforest Cafe. Prepare to wait for 2 hours for a table during the high season.
Shopping
The best place to shop here for everything Disney is no other than the World of Disney store. It is a huge store full of magical and beautiful Disney merchandise. There is also the Lego Store where children and adults alike can play lego in the store.

2. Universal City Walk
Is known as the hottest nightlife in town. It has a variety of dining, entertainment and many shops all around right before the entrance to the two main parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Every night, there is a live DJ here playing dance music where everyone is free to watch and dance all night long.

Every time we are here, we always have dinner at Emeril's for some American southern food. There is also Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville for the best hamburgers and margaritas. Then there is the iconic, Hard Rock Cafe just for the experience of being there.

When in Orlando, Florida, just have fun and enjoy every moment of it!

Disney`s Spirit of Aloha

To celebrate Christmas, we attended the Dinner Show, Spirit of Aloha, at Disney`s Polynesian Village Resort in Orlando, Florida. The Dinner Show was an enchanting luau showcasing several dances and songs from the different Polynesian Islands of Hawaii, Samoa, Bora Bora and Tahiti among others. There was a feast of food presenting different salads, roast chicken, ribs, roast pig and a pineapple bread pudding with caramel sauce for dessert. It was an all you can eat luau while watching all the Polynesian dancing from both women and men dancers and singers. There was an over flow of drinks from Mai Tai cocktails, sangria and lemonade. Then the resort itself had a feel of a Pacific island resort. The resort had a grand lobby and it was so elegantly decorated for Christmas. It was a memorable and fun night to celebrate Christmas away from home.
Even Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck were dressed in Polynesian dancing costume.

Aloha!

You  might think this is in Paris, France? Oh no, not at all! When we visited Orlando, Florida this Summer, we went shopping at the super fashionable The Mall at Millenia. It was our first time visiting the Mall and we were so impressed. Every turn was a delightful discovery from major American Department stores like Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Neiman Marcus, there were many American brands boutiques like Forever 21 and major European luxury Brands like Salvatore Ferragamo, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Prada and Gucci among others. If you wish to take a break from Mickey Mouse, this is the place to visit. The Mall offers an extraordinary experience of  one stop shopping place for all of the World's best Brands right here in Orlando, Florida. Meet Señor Frog's

When we were in Orlando,  we met Señor Frog's. He is quite a cool, relaxed and groovy dude that serves really delicious and authentic Mexican food with a fun and non-chalance philosophy on having fun, dining and drinking! Señor Frog's is a chain of restaurants in the USA, Mexico and the Carribbean that has a cool and tropical vibe. The ambiance is very colourful with vibrating music and very friendly service. Arriving in the restaurant felt like we entered an Island open-air restaurant in Mexico or in the Caribbean. We had lunch here on the day we arrived in Orlando. We ordered their beef tacos and their fajitas special. They were both delicious! After our meal, we discovered that the colourful decor provided some fun and entertaining inspiration about the philosophy of having fun, Señor Frog's style. Get to know Señor Frog's right here, right now.
Fajitas with mexican rice, beans, guacamole, chicken and shrimps.
For our appetizer, we ordered their beef tacos which was so tender and marinated in some lemon sauce. This was really delicious especially sprinkled with more lemon then topped with guacamole and sour cream.
As you enter the Restaurant, we were greeted by the stylish Señor Frog's himself dressed so casually in his T-shirt and shorts.
Give him Four!
Some fun and entertaining quotes from Señor Frog's. I wonder how a drunk person will read all of these?
Here in my Blog, we promote drinking responsibly.
In the Restaurant, there is a tropical Bar and beside it is their own Store selling their own merchandise from T-shirts and shorts.
Up in the ceiling were these provocative and humorous display of Summer fun! Only at Señor Frog's.

Enjoy the Weekend!

All Aboard On The Hogwarts Express

Come on and let us hop aboard the Hogwarts Express at the Universal Studios, Orlando. This is a train ride on the famous Hogwarts Express that will take us from Hogsmeade, at Universal's Island of Adventure to all the way to London's King Cross Station at the Universal Studios Park. This train ride is quite surreal as it takes you through the English countryside so authentic with the view of Hogwarts Castle, flying brooms and mythical half animal and half human creatures showing up along the way. Let us climb aboard this magical ride on the Hogwarts Express to discover more about the magical world of Harry Potter. We are hoping to  encounter Harry, Ron and Hermione on this magical train ride soon.

Climb aboard! Even the Train Station staff are wearing such authentic and fashionable uniforms.
Guess whose traveling caravan these belong to? Who is HP? There is Hedwig.
Here we are in the train, traveling along with the view of Hogwarts Castle.
Who is that? One of the Weasley brothers?
OK, let us go to Hogwarts this time.
Inside the majestic Hogwarts Castle we saw the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
There is also a fun and fantastic ride inside that will take you flying up around Hogwarts.

Snow capped roofs.
If you are wondering what the ButterBeer sign is on the above photo, it is a wizarding beverage served cold with a frothy top. It taste like butterscotch as it is made with butter, sugar and water with a slight alcoholic content. It really taste good. It is a popular drink here at Hogswarts. Then after all the wizarding around town, we had lunch at the Three Broomsticks to taste some of Harry's favourite meals.

Enjoy the Labour Day long weekend!
We all work hard enough that we deserve to have some relaxation and also some fun.

Enjoying The Dippin' Dots

I
Ice cream is one of my favourite indulgence during Summer. My favourite flavour is Cookies N' Cream. At  Universal Studios Orlando, in Florida, I discovered this brand of Ice Cream called Dippin Dots. It is not hard to miss the caravan because there is always a line up to get some of this ice cream at Universal. To quench our feeling hot from the summer heat, we decided to give it a try. These are little beads of ice-cream developed by Dippin Dots founder, Curt Jones. The little beads actually melt in your mouth and it is very tasteful.

Jones, a microbiologist, pioneered the process of cryogenic encapsulation...a scientific way of saying he used super-cold freezing methods to make little beads of ice cream. Not only were the ice cream beads delicious and fun to eat, Jones knew that flash-freezing the ice cream ingredients would lock in flavor and freshness. With those qualities established, Dippin' Dots were ready to take on the world!

These ice cream come in many flavours like Cookies N Cream with Oreo and Banana Split which we tried on the above photo. Other flavours were Bubble Gum, Rocky Road, Chocolate, Birthday Cake, Cotton Candy among a variety of flavours. As summer is waning down, go and have your favourite ice-cream soon!

Exploring The World of Diagon Alley

I do not mean to scare you on this post by welcoming you into Diagon Alley with this Dragon ready to charge you out of town. This Dragon is right on top of Gringotts Bank at the newly opened Diagon Alley in the Universal Studios Orlando, Florida. This is one half of the newly opened The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the Universal Studios. Every little details on the windows, doors, door knobs, the store signs, lamp posts are so authenthic to the world of Harry Potter. It was like entering his World full of wizardry and weird stuff. Overall, I loved it! It can scare a young child but let them explore slowly like we did with wonder and amazement. Then suddenly, you will understand and be part of the World of Harry Potter. But watch out! You will never know who you will encounter next!
This Dragon will show off his heat with fire!
The Banker of the Gringotts Bank.
All in gold. There are vaults inside which you will have to explore through the most thrilling ride that you will have to line up for 150 minutes of your life. The best ride ever in the World!
 Look who is watching you?
There are medusa fountain and witches around.
There was a line up to buy your magic wand.
Here are the wood selections for your magic wand.
As the saying goes, it is not you who choose the wand, the wand will choose you.

This store is the Weasley's Wizard Wheezes inspired by the Weasley's Twins.
Would you like to try this?
The Knight Bus was the purple triple-decker bus that was the emergency transport of the wizards especially Harry.
Looks like we were in London. Watch out next week for our adventure on the Hogswarts Express. Boarding Soon!

Have a wonderful weekend!
