Year Of The Dog & Louis Vuitton

 The Louis Vuitton windows here in Toronto celebrated the Chinese Lunar Year of the Dog with a delightful display of two of my favourite in this world, dogs and bags. The new bag for this season is the re-design of the classic Neo bag now known as the Néonoé bag which has a long shoulder strap that can be carried on the shoulder and across the body. The colours are funky combinations in blue and red, yellow and purple, pink and orange, red an blue and the classic all black. Seeing these windows with the dogs and the bags was love at first sight.

Gucci Bags: Take A Seat

 On our way to Portugal, we were delighted to see this fun and unique display of Gucci bags at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2. These bags are definitely luxurious, stylish, chic and so fun to carry. Being displayed on chairs look like they are watching on travellers as we passed by on transit to our main destinations. For sure, this is an exhibition of these gorgeous Gucci bags where travellers can see them up close.

It's Finally Here: Mansur Gavriel

The most coveted and popular fashion brand coming from New York, the bag designers Mansur Gavriel is now in Toronto at Holt Renfrew. The brand is founded by two New Yorkers, Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel. They design and create these simple and classic bags using the most high quality Italian leather and old craftsmanship coming the Veneto region of Italy. These bags are Made in Italy and priced below one thousand dollars. They have no logos yet they are sold out the moment they are re-stocked on their website and in stores. I was on the wait list at Holt Renfrew for at least two months when I finally received my order last week. I ordered the Bucket Bag in black leather with flamma (red) interior which is one of their popular bags. In the fashion world full of logos, these classic bags from Mansur Gavriel is definitely a welcome addition.  I am so glad that it is finally here and worth the wait.

In Style: Saint Laurent Bags

Classic Cabas Y Leather Tote.

Since Hedi Slimane took over as the Creative Director of the legendary Fashion House Saint Laurent, the bags that were launched by the Fashion House has been stylish and classy lately. These bags are well structured, no logos except for the Y on the Cabas Y Tote and mostly all made in leather. In Canada, these bags are available at Holt Renfrew. The bags are popular with fashionistas, Editors and even Hollywood Actresses. These days, I prefer a more classic leather bag but with a stylish edge.  I hope you will like them too as these bags will last a long time plus they come in different colours that will suite your taste. 

The Sac Du Jour(left) and Duffle Bag on the right both comes in several sizes. The Red Lulu bag named after Yves Saint Laurent's muse, Loulou de la Falaise is shaped as a box bag which is one of the mini bags in the collection. 

The bags are the Sac Du Jour, Lulu and the Duffle 3 Mini. All of these bags can be carried on the shoulder, by hand (except for the Lulu) and across the body. I still have to learn to carry a mini bag. It is quite a challenge for me as I usually carry a bigger bag like the size of the Sac du Jour and the Cabas Y Tote. I like them all as they are classic and so stylish without any overbearing logos.
