The Grove Los Angeles

The Grove Mall, Los Angeles.

The Grove Mall near Beverly Hills in Los Angeles is one of my favourite Malls in California. It is like a small village with lots of shops, outdoor restaurants, fountains, markets and  cinemas. It has so many shops and entertainment facilities that what I am sharing here is just the icing on the cake. It is huge, right in the heart of Los Angeles. The place is also full of fashionable locals enjoying their shopping and just hanging out in one of the outdoor restaurants all around the mall. Both The Grove and The Americana Mall at Bland in my previous blog post last Tuesday are both owned  and managed by the Caruso Group. There are so many shops in this mall (click the link above for the list). When we visited here on a Saturday, we visited the American Girl which is so famous and in high demand in the U.S.A for their custom made dolls and stylish outfits. We also visited J.Crew, Barney's Co-op, Nike, Nordstrom, Crate and Barrel, a huge Barnes and Noble and then when we were tired and hungry walking around, we had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory.  At The Cheesecake Factory, we had those huge American sandwiches and of course for our dessert, we tried their Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. Well, this is a satisfying way to end our vacation in Los Angeles. I will visit again!

The Americana Mall in Glendale

The American Mall at Bland in Glendale, California.

On the same Friday that we arrived in Los Angeles, my Aunt and Uncle brought us that night  to The Americana Mall at Brand, in Glendale just to stroll around. As you know, the U.S.A is well known for their malls. I would have to say that the U.S.A has the best malls, particularly in California. My two favourite malls in Los Angeles are The Grove near Beverly Hills and this new mall in Glendale, The Americana Mall. What I love about them is not just many different stores and restaurants but also the whole ambiance and urban design of the Malls. Being California where it is sunny and warm mostly 365 days of the year, their malls are designed to be more open and encourages their guests to walk outside on the street side without any vehicle traffic. I love that, rather than being in an enclosed mall like here in Toronto. Well, here in Toronto, we have the four seasons, with our winter that is quite harsh so most of our malls have to be enclosed indoors. I love and enjoy the openness and luxurious ambiance of The American Mall. Other brands in this mall are A/X Armani Exchange, Tiffany & Co, Walter Weitzman Shoes, Lacoste, Sephora, Barnes and Nobles, among others. This week, we will go shopping in Los Angeles by featuring my two favourite malls, The Americana in Glendale and The Grove in Beverly Hills. Here are some shows, stores and places to hangout in the Mall. Let's go discover and enjoy!

The Dancing Fountain and Light Show is every hour from 10 am to 10:30 pm.
