Valentine's Day Treats

Valentine's Day for some people may be a depressing day. Rather than gloat or retreat on this day, share the love and calories by visiting Nadege Patisserie to purchase their sweet and lovely Valentine's Day treats of macaron, chocolate teddy bears with heart and heart shaped chocolates. The macaron comes in pastel colours and different flavours like rose, champagne, hazelnut, pistachio, even exotic flavours like kalamansi, the Filipino lemon fruit. If sharing calories is not your forte, then visit the L'Occitane boutiques to pamper yourself or loved ones with the ever smooth shea butter lotions, soaps and other natural products from  Provence, the south of France. Whatever way you choose to celebrate Valentine's Day, remember to always look up, be more loving and be grateful. We never know, miracles can happen anytime. Just believe in love. Love conquers all.

In Solidarity Lip Balm

To celebrate International Women's Day on the 8th March, L'Occitane has a special offering of the Shea Apricot Solidarity Balm. The special lip balm made with shea butter and apricot will nourish and soften the lips. The good thing about this product is that it is only $6 Cdn and 100% of the proceeds will support the women's entrepreneurship in Burkina Faso through the L'Occitane Foundation. This product will not only nourish and soften our lips but also nourish the development of women's small business endeavours in Burkina Faso. Go check it out on their website and also in L'Occitane stores near you. Let us support other women all around the world.

L'Occitane products are my favourite. Their shea butter products for the face, hands, body and lips are just the best as they are fragrance free and super soft on the skin. Their products are from natural ingredients, the shea butter from the karite trees in Burkina Faso.  Discover the rest of the Shea Collection here.

Share The Magic of Provence Event

Last week, I was invited to an exclusive VIP shopping night at L'Occitane Bloor St. Store here in Toronto.  The event was a preview of their Share The Magic Of Provence Christmas collection. The invitation I received stated that there will be Hors d'oeuvres and drinks from the South of France. When we arrived, we were greeted by a welcoming red carpet and the Host who made sure that we were on the Guest list. Inside, the store was very busy, filled with guests already shopping, drinking and also eating the endless Hors d' oeuvres that were served that night. L'Occitane served  Rosé Wine, Perrier Sparkling water and never ending dishes of Hor d'ouevres and Sweets. It was a fun night full of shopping delight, lots of drinks and food and of course, each guest brought home a special gift from L'Occitane.

Magical Winter Collection : Magical Leaves Collection (Green) and Marvellous Flowers Collection (Pink).

Rosé Wine and Perrier Sparking Water for the guests.
These Hors d'oeuvres were eaten so fast that night. There were lots of food that night including cookies, endless cheese trays and more hors d'oeuvres.
These were the Special Gifts to the Guests. The bag was filled with shampoo, conditioner, bath gels,  Magical leaves cream and Cherry hand lotion.

May you have a wonderful week ahead!

L'Occitane En Provence

Shopping at L'Occitane En Provence is a delightful indulgence for me. It is one of my favourite stores here in Toronto. L’Occitane Provence was established in the Haute-Provence area in 1976. The company produces Natural Beauty and skin products for both Men and Women using the most natural ingredients from the Provence region, namely, Lavender, roses, olives, almonds, essential oils and other infusion of fruits and flowers from the Provencal region. Then in 1989, L’Occitane has initiated a sustainable development project with the African nation of Burkina Faso to further develop the production of shea butter which is one of their bestseller products besides their Lavender products.

I use their products all the time. As I am quite sensitive to certain scents, I have to buy beauty and skin care products that will suite my needs and also not cause any allergic reactions. Also most of the products that I have been featuring here in my blog are the ones that I have tried and tested and use in my daily life. I love their Extra Gentle Lotion for the Hands and Body, their Extra Gentle Soap in Milk, Verbena and Lavender soaps are divine and during the Fall and Winter seasons, I use their Almond Shower Oil. The brand practise their strong values: "respect for both man and the environment, with an emphasis on exchange and sharing” by establishing retail stores all over the world which makes their natural products easily accessible and also allows the brand to promote sustainable development program through their products. Discover here some products from L’Occitane Provence.

The Lavender products line.

Verbena Gift box. Aren't their gift boxes a perfect gift for Christmas?

I highly recommend the Almond Shower Oil. I use them during the Fall and Winter season as my skin gets dry due to the winter and cold temperatures here in Canada. It is so fragrant and really softens the skin. There is also the Almond Milk Concentrate Body Creme and Soaps.

Welcoming flowers from the L'Occitane store.

I hope I have inspired the start of your week with these lovely products and flowers!

Have a fabulous week ahead!

Thank you to L'Occitane Bloor St. Toronto Store for allowing me to photograph their products in the store.
