Celebrating Louis Vuitton 35 Years In Toronto

Toronto is celebrating this month of September with the first ever  Louis Vuitton Time Capsule Exhibition to commemorate 35 years of Louis Vuitton in our city. What a way to celebrate this special relationship with our city with a mobile and spectacular exhibit showcasing the history of the maison from 1858 when it started as a luxury maker of leather trunks for travelling to presently one of the most sought after luxury and stylish fashion in clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. The whole exhibition is free and this weekend is the last weekend for this show in our city. After the exhibition, there is a store right inside Union Station to purchase Louis Vuitton travel and fashion books. Louis Vuitton never fails to impress, even choosing the Union Station to truly showcase their long tradition of travel and adventure not only in fashion but also in our lives.

Year Of The Dog & Louis Vuitton

The Louis Vuitton windows here in Toronto celebrated the Chinese Lunar Year of the Dog with a delightful display of two of my favourite in this world, dogs and bags. The new bag for this season is the re-design of the classic Neo bag now known as the Néonoé bag which has a long shoulder strap that can be carried on the shoulder and across the body. The colours are funky combinations in blue and red, yellow and purple, pink and orange, red an blue and the classic all black. Seeing these windows with the dogs and the bags was love at first sight.

Part II: Louis Vuitton x Masters Holiday Gifts

Christmas is coming soon and receiving a Louis Vuitton gift from their collections is always a dream come true. Their Holiday windows featuring the Jeff Koons x Masters collection are spectacular. The bags are a collector's item. This is one of the best collaborations in the luxury designers group as it celebrates art, fashion and style. These are one of the best Holiday windows in Toronto, full off colour, lots of style and brings good cheer.

LV Masters X Koons

Louis Vuitton has done it again with its collaboration with American artist Jeff  Koons in creating the Masters LV X Koons Collection. The whole collection was inspired by Jeff Koons' art, the 'Gazing Ball' where he paired a reflective ball to the old masters like Leonardo Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Reubens, Fragonard  and Titian. LV showcased the old masters on their iconic bags like the Speedy, Neverfull, Montagne bags  to complete this collection. The LV and Jeff Koons collaboration is a celebration of both the old masters and modern art. If you buy this collection, these bags are art and definitely a collector's item. Louis Vuitton has the tradition and culture to celebrate and promote the old masters art through their bags. When we carry one of these bags, we are showcasing the art outside of the museum to the street.

Louis Vuitton Stripes

Louis Vuitton bags always have best design in the luxury bags market. They have managed to modernize their design but at the same time maintaining their tradition and functionality.  One of their newer style is the Kimono bag which combines modern and traditional design, loads of style and functionality. This bag is so light to carry but has lots of compartment inside. I also adore the stripes on the front combined with the traditional LV monogram. It's also nice that they name their bags based on their inspiration which is usually a place, like Japan. That's why Louis Vuitton never fails to inspire.

The Spirit Of Travel

The cold weather is coming soon. It's time to daydream and plan your warm weather getaway for the winter months. Louis Vuitton has just released their Cruise 2016 Collection which featured stylish bags and fashionable clothes designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere. The collection remains true to its tradition of the Spirit Of Travel featuring the dessert and palm trees of Palm Springs, California. The fashion show was held in the former house of Bob Hope which looked so futuristic right in the middle of the dessert. Where will your spirit of travel take you?

Louis Vuitton Dora Bags

My niece loves Dora, the cartoon character. I love Dora too, the new bag from Louis Vuitton. These new bags designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere features the iconic LV monogram with colourful leather trim. I love the square shape of the bag and it comes with a shoulder strap which is perfect for carrying on the shoulder or across the body. Both the blue and burgundy leather trim are perfect for Fall. There is even a Dora bandeau/scarf that you can pair with the bag and your fall outfit. Check out the many different styles of the Dora bag here.

Spring Denim Blue Period

I'm finally sharing here my denim obsession. I admit that I am more of a denim gal. I love wearing denim from skirts, cropped, straight and even flare pants. Luckily, denim is a hot trend this Spring. We can basically choose whichever style we want even wearing those culottes or flares. The best denim comes in the dark wash or the classic light blue denim wash. Both styles are my favourites. The Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 and even the Valentino Pre-Fall 2015 presented some really cool denim pants in the dark or light wash and perfectly cut on the ankle to show off those stylish shoes in red or burgundy. This makes me want to buy a red shoes now. Which style will you choose?

I like those A-line cut denim skirt and matching denim jacket from Acne. For this Spring, I purchased these cropped dark wash denim pants with matching tops in floral and stripes and navy blue and grey colour blocked top all from J.Crew. I am definitely in my Blue Spring period.

Celebrating Earth Day

As we celebrate Earth Day today, I am sharing some wonderful and captivating photos by Patrick Demachelier showcasing The Spirit of Travel by Louis Vuitton. The photos here shot in a beautiful beach with clear water, clear skies and of course the stylish clothes and leather accessories all from Louis Vuitton Spring 2015 Collection. As we celebrate Earth Day, we are reminded to travel the World to see and experience its beauty, love our planet by taking care of it and most of all making sure that our legacy to our children is to leave them with a cleaner, better and beautiful planet Earth.

A modern voyage, always looking forward
There was a mountain, I climbed it.
There was a crossing, I took the open road
I felt the wind, the water, infinite sound, pure sky,
I could see it all.
The World,
Whoever lives sees, but whoever travel sees more.

Fondation Louis Vuitton and Celebrating Monogram

The bags above are the Pallas Chain and the Pallas.

When I was in Paris last month, the Louis Vuitton windows displayed some graphic art inspired by the Architetural designs of Canadian Architect, Frank Gehry. During the month of October, Louis Vuitton celebrated and promoted the opening of their brand new Fondation Louis Vuitton glass building located at Bois de Boulogne, a park north of Paris. The Fondation will showcase the Contemporary Art Collection of Louis Vuitton and also present cultural concerts by artists from France and around the World. The Fondation will showcase Louis Vuitton's tradition that Creation is a Journey.  It is definitely a journey celebrating the past as well as moving on to the future.

Frank Gehry designed the building inspired by the Grand Palais in Paris, a glass garden building and also like a floating ship as Louis Vuitton is well known for its tradition in Travel.

I loved it that only in Paris we can see Louis Vuitton ads #CelebratingMonogram on the Bus stop.
Watch this inspiring and very chic video Le Rendez-Vous with Christian Louboutin and styled by Carine Roitfeld promoting the #CelebratingMonogram Collection. This video makes me miss Paris so much.
