Philippine Tatler: Wedding Belles

It is really precious to be young and beautiful bride. It is the case for both Marga Valdes and Bianca Zobel, both from prominent and wealthy Filipino families in the Philippines. Bianca is the daughter of businessman Inigo Zobel de Ayala and his beautiful wife Maricris Cardenas while Marga is the younger sister of talented and famous fashion jewellery designer Bea Valdes and  their mother is from the Panlilio family. Both Marga and Bianca got married last January 2012. In this magazine feature, they both wore wedding gowns from the Spanish Wedding Gown brand Rosa Clara which now opened a store at The Residences, Greenbelt in Makati. They were photographed here in the backdrop of beautiful and historical National Museum in Manila.

In the magazine's feature, Marga Valdes and Bianca Zobel both wore wedding gowns by Spanish label Rosa Clara. Bianca wore the strapless Amor gown and Marga wore the Abanto gown. Both wore jewelleries from Bulgari's High Jewellery Collection

For Bianca, her wedding gown was designed by Pepito Albert. Her wedding to Christopher Warns  was held in the Church in Calatagan, Batangas near her family's Hacienda Calatagan.

Rosa Clara is a Spanish brand established in 1995 in Barcelona, Spain. Philippine Tatler Magazine wrote that 'The people behind the brand wanted to revolutionise fashion for brides and, as its company portfolio says to "sell magic."  It did this by marrying high-end fashion with top quality fabrics.'  The company asked designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Christian Lacroix to design exclusive bridal collections for its shop. The company now has many stores around Spain and around the world including the new bridal store in Manila, Philippines.

Marga Valdes married actor Raul Fenstad "TJ" Trinidad held in the bride's family home in Tagaytay. Her wedding gown was designed by Inno Sotto who has known her since her childhood.  According to Marga: 'I bought the lace for the gown in Paris with my mum and sister, Bea and then handed it over to Inno to weave his magic.'

Both of their weddings were private family affairs. Marga shared: 'I believe a wedding can be many things. For us, it was a celebration, a gathering of beloved friends and family coming together to share memories. We wanted a simple and intimate event, and that was exactly what we got, thanks to my parents and my sister.'

  1. Awesome clicks and loved all these wedding gowns. My cousin who is just done with booking one of iconic wedding venues Chicago sought my help in finding her an elegant gown and going to forward this post to her. Thanks a lot!
