This week showcased the World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto presenting the best of Canadian designers. I attended the Pink Tartan Spring 2016 Collection show last night. It was definitely a fashionable night with really stylish waiting lounge with a well stocked bar offering champagne among other chic drinks, industry insiders and of course all the fashionistas in town out in full force. I had fun watching the crowd and of course the upbeat fashion show. I have to admit that photographing fashion shows is not my thing. I was disappointed that my fashion photos from the runway did not turn out so well. Despite my bad runway photos, it was a night appreciating our local Canadian design talents and locally made clothes that are proudly Canadian that can compete in the world fashion market.

Pink Tartan is one of my favourite Canadian brands designed by Canadian, Kimberly Newport-Mimran. The Spring 2016 collection showed hobo chic with orange fringe skirts and tops, black and white stripes, beige linen suits with fringe, black leather dress with lace embroidery, solid colours of cropped pants and prints. Of course, they were worn down the runway using beautiful Canadian models which are one of the best in the World.

She looked so classic in her simple and elegant black and white outfit.
