Discover Pixi Beauty

I'm delighted to discover that we have Pixi Beauty cosmetics available here in Canada through Shoppers Drug Mart which is our one stop shopping for health & pharmacy, beauty, food, home, magazines and some books. Pixi Beauty was developed in Soho, London by Swedish make-up artist, Petra, who developed this cosmetic line to be natural, multi-tasking and for everyone. It is affordable and accessible through their web site. Petra makes sure that she uses natural botanicals and beneficial ingredients into her cosmetics line. She designed this collection for the working mother and woman. Her eyes palette have many choices and easy to put on. The Glow Tonic is their most popular product so far. Try them on when you discover them at your place.

I tried their lipstick and gloss which are moisturising and have fantastic colours.

Christmas At Heathrow

My favourite airport at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 in London, UK, is now decorated in full Christmas cheer. Terminal 5 at Heathrow, is the major hub of British Airways. It is a very busy airport for domestic and international connecting flights but also full of fantastic, first class shopping and restaurants. Terminal 5 has one of the largest Duty Free shops selling everything from chocolates, biscuits, all kinds of wine, spirits and even caviar. Of course, for the ladies and gentlemen, there are large selections of perfumes, cosmetics, fashion, shoes, bags and accessories. Besides all that, we were more delighted when we got to the terminal to see all of their Christmas decorations. Christmas begins early here at Heathrow. It's a cheerful welcome to all travellers.

Gordon Ramsay's Plane Food

My family just returned from our trip to Israel and London. On our way back to Toronto, we had a long stop over at Heathrow Terminal 5 which is the major hub of British Airways.  When we have enough time at Heathrow Airport, we always make a point to eat at Gordon Ramsay's Plane Food restaurant located at Terminal 5.  Just like any of famous chef Gordon Ramsay's restaurant, the menu offers gourmet English food, presented so well and so delicious. Gordon Ramsay's restaurants make the best Caesar salad with anchovies and they make the best poached eggs ever on this side of the Atlantic.  I had the curry chicken which is so authentically delicious. Then my desert of thinly sliced pineapple arranged like a flower is topped with their freshly made coconut sorbet. This desert was just so original and refreshing to eat. Eating at Gordon Ramsay was truly a delicious gourmet experience. It's definitely better than plane food.

Spring Exhibits From New York to London

I wish I could jet set now between New York and London so that I can view the two hottest Spring exhibits,  Manus x Machina at The Metropolitan Museum in New York  and the British Vogue 100: A Century of Style at the National Portrait Gallery in London. The Met exhibit was celebrated last Monday with the Met Gala which is the grandest Fashion party of the year. That party  had 500,000 roses all over the museum and served 325 bottles of champagne. The only thing I don't like is that the Gala gives too much attention to the Hollywood celebrities and less on the New York socialites. Hopefully, I would be able to visit their exhibit in June to see all of the beautiful fashion creations.

Meanwhile in London, British Vogue and the National Portrait Gallery is celebrating Vogue 100: A Century of Style. To celebrate the centenary, the Duchess of Cambrige has her first ever Vogue cover. It's a perfect choice since the Duchess is the Patron of the National Portrait Gallery. Her two portraits in the magazine were also included in the Exhibit. We hope to see her more in Vogue covers just like her mother in law, the late Princess Diana who was a Vogue cover girl four times.

Mulberry For Fall

When I was in London last Spring, I shopped at Harrods for what's new in Fashion and accessories. One of my favourite brands there is the British brand Mulberry. The sales associate was very helpful and patient to help me choose the best bag between the Alexa and the Cara bags. I already have the Alexa bag which is one of my favourite  and functional bags. This time, I chose the Cara bag in burgundy. One of their newer bag is the Cara bag designed by British supermodel Cara Delevingne. As I get older, I tend to buy high quality and well designed leather classic bags with no logos which the Mulberry brand expertly represents. Their bags are still proudly Made in England. I am very happy with my purchase of the all leather Cara bag. I can use the bag any season from Spring to Fall. It is also very spacious and light to carry especially when travelling.
I purchased the burgundy Cara bag on the left which can be transitioned into Fall. It is very classic, no logos, light to carry and proudly Made In England.

Weekend In Carnaby Street

One of the places I visited in London was Carnaby Street which is a happening place during the day and night with so many choices of restaurants and shopping. This street is a car free street where visitors are free to walk around discovering its unique boutiques and famous fashion brands.  My friend and I walked from Piccadilly Circus then along Regent Street to Kingly Court where we had dinner for pizza. After our dinner, we walked more to discover the shops and the restaurants along Carnaby Street ending up at the iconic Liberty London Department store. Carnaby Street is one of the places to visit especially for some evening fun.
This is Kingly Court which is a cool destination for dining with friends or with a date, if you are lucky.
