Fall Fashion Style

 Here comes Fall again with its cooler temperatures, falling leaves and colour hues in golden brown, yellow, red, green and orange. For this year the trends at Holt Renfrew are black with a touch of pink and gold at Chanel, lots of prints including floral prints at Gucci, plaid print on coats and cropped pants together with ankle boots. During the time I was shopping here, I spotted a fashionable and chic lady dressed in luxurious fur vest, knee high boots and her extra large Hermes Birkin which truly shows that this is the time to wrap up and dress up in chic warm Fall clothes, bags and boots.

It's A Cool Summer

 Summer is coming soon to the City. Holt Renfrew at Bloor Street, Toronto is celebrating summer with a  pop up store called Cool Summer that offers a lovely flower shop, Wild Thyme, a Diptyque Paris boutique, a cycling shop, a sun care shop complete with straw hat perfect for the beach and some summer fashion for both men and women. There are many inspirations here to kick start our summer: from a refreshing eaux de toilette from Diptyque, a straw hat, a cool palazzo pants and sleeveless linen top and most of all, those lovely orchids will do for me. For the sporty type, a bicycle from Martone Cycling Co. will start your adventure in cycling around the City. How will you kick start your summer?

Fun At The Coco Café

To my delight, I attended the opening of the Coco Café at the Holt Renfrew Bloor Street Store in Toronto. For the whole month of March, the Coco Café will be open to offer their customers the latest in the Rouge Coco Chanel collection for Spring. We were allowed to try all of the Chanel products on display from the lipsticks, lip gloss, the new Le Vernis nail colours, the new Sublimage Le Teint cream foundation which applies to your skin so light and au naturel plus there were drinks, lip lollipops, macarons and candies all over the Café . I enjoyed this event very much as I tried everything from Chanel. As the saying goes, never loose your childlike enthusiasm. 

 

 

Which colours will you choose?

 

 

 

 

 

 

For the nail polish, I love the Washed Denim (grey blue), the Camellia (fuchsia) and the Tulle (light melon) colours. They will be perfect shades for Spring. 

 

From the new Spring Collection, I purchased the quadra eye make- up Jardin De Lumieres (the quadra eye shadow in the middle and worn by the model on the photo). I love the colour combination and the name alone, in english, Lighted Garden or Illuminated Garden which captures spring perfectly. 

 

Never be afraid to take your Chances.

Chanel Christmas Wish

Have you written up your Christmas wish list? Holt Renfrew  in Toronto has expanded their Chanel Boutique on the 2nd Floor with the bags, shoes, clothes and accessories more accessible and visible to shoppers. As you can see on the photos above, we can almost touch these most coveted classic flap and Boy bags in pastel colours of pink, fuchsia and yellow. There are even hard to find blue Chanel bags on display. It was such a delight to see. It made me wish that all I want for Christmas is Chanel. Who would resist? No way. I'll receive Chanel any time.

Holts Spring Style

 Although it is officially Spring now, we still do not have any blooms around. As we strolled  inside Holt Renfrew, Bloor Street store in Toronto, there was definitely a shower of spring flowers all around. There were many inspiring spring fashion all around together with accessories to die for. I am loving the pastel and lace dresses in Valentino. The Gucci collection with its colour combination is so cool. Etro have some really fantastic maxi dresses in marvellous prints. Here's hoping that our flowers will bloom soon all around our City.

Coco Rouge Style

 Last Easter weekend, I attended the Chanel Coco Rouge beauty event at Holt Renfrew Bloor Street Store in Toronto. This is a pop-up store in the Concourse level complete with complimentary free make up service using the latest Spring collection. This event also launched the new  Coco Stylo lipstick with matching Le Vernis nail polishes in shades of red, nude, beige, light green and dark blues. It was really a fun event filled with so many new products and new fresh colours from Chanel that it was hard to choose from the collection. In the end, I ended up purchasing two lipsticks  called Message which is the lipstick that Keira Knightley used in the campaign and the lighter pinkish colour Lettre. I like using these lipstick pencils because they are easy to apply and to carry. Sometimes, it is more fun to really use pencils for the eyes and lips when putting on make-up.  If you are in Toronto, there is still time for you to attend this beauty event to meet the friendly and helpful Chanel beauty experts, as it runs until 10 April.
