Last Thursday night, 6th September was a very busy night here in Toronto, Canada. The city was a buzz with major events that it was hard to decide which event to attend? Finally, our city had the first ever Fashion Night Out Toronto, an event held every year in New York City, London, Paris, Tokyo to encourage people to go shopping for one night to help the economy. Then the same night, was the start of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) where major Hollywood and International movie stars, Directors, Producers, come to the city to present their movies in premieres before major distribution to the theatres. TIFF runs from September 6 to 16. For movie buffs, this is the festival to see all of the movies from all over the world. Then finally, to kick off Fashion Night Out (FNO) Toronto and to celebrate Holt Renfrew's 175th Anniversary, there was a street party, Hot In The City, held outside of Holt Renfrew Department Store.
Holt Renfrew is the Luxury Premiere Department Store here in Canada founded since 1837. Since their founding they have been known to be the furrier to the Queen of the United Kingdom, Queen Victoria during that time. The reigning Monarch of the United Kingdom is the Head of State of Canada up to the present time. But since then, Holts has expanded to be the premier luxury store, making Canadians fashionable and making the International luxury designer goods available to Canadians.
After work that Thursday, we decided to attend the Holt Renfrew street party to kick off the FNO Toronto and celebrate Holts@175. There was a street party where Holts offered guests free Special Edition Diet Coke in bottles covered in Magenta and some popcorn. There was a Video presented on the facade of the Store and a virtual Fashion Show. Holt Renfrew's signature colour is Magenta. It is a lovely colour for the store. To celebrate their 175th Anniversary, Holts launched the Special Edition Magenta Collection and the Hot@175 Mobile Tour which will travel across major cities in Canada, carrying some Special commemorative Sweatshirts designed by seven internationally world renowned graphic artists for sale. Holt Renfrew is the only Department Store in Canada that allow shoppers to bring their dogs in the store while shopping. As a dog lover myself, I just love them for that!

These candles are designed for the fund raising and exclusive to Holt Renfrew only. Proceeds go to Sir Elton John's Foundation for HIV/AIDS Spark A Change Charity.

Chanel Exclusive Collection for Holt Renfrew: L'infidele lipstick/Infidele Nail Polish (Sophisticated Rose Pink), La Delicate lipstick/Delicatesse Nail Polish (Toned down Beige) and La Provocante Lipstick/Provocation Nail Polish (Autumnal Plum). All shades are perfect for Fall. I purchased the L'Infidele shade which suited me better. The Delicatesse was too light for me and the Provocation too dark a shade. These shades are available also at Chanel Boutique in Toronto.
