Lena Dunham, actress and creator of the hit TV show on HBO Girls is on her first ever cover for US Vogue. Good for her as she is full of talent and beautiful in her own way. Too bad, there has been some controversy with Jezebel Magazine offering $10,000 for the unretouched photos of Lena of her Vogue Cover Girl photo shoot. Lena is not exactly a size 2 but she is celebrated here for her own beauty and her talent. If  we ever become a Cover Girl for US Vogue or any Magazine, won't you also like your photos to be retouched? Even the Supermodels like Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss photos also get retouched in some way.  As the saying goes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. These days, we should be more open and accepting of our differences and hopefully see the beauty in everyone. Lena for me is definitely a Style Setter. You Go Girl!

    I think she is stunning!! It's a shame when anyone gets re-touched, but I love that she's on the cover, as she is a gorgeous girl x

    I think photo lightings can sometimes be unforgiving, I think its okay to eliminate a few dark spots, pores or lines but not change the entire appearance of a person so that they dont even look like themselves. I am unfamiliar with Lena's acting but its always good to see a plus-sized model on a cover.

    Thanks Pam for your kind and honest post! This girl is super and not perfect! Hooray for that. Yes, I would absolutely want my pores and wrinkles airbrushed in Vogue! Who wouldn't? That other mag, Jezebel, is horrible.
