Fragonard Parfumeur Factory Tour

The chart shows the countries worldwide where Fragonard obtain the natural ingredients of their products.

During a visit to Provence & the Cote D'Azur, in the South of France, we had a chance to visit the Fragonard Parfumeur Factory in Grasse.  It has always been my dream to visit Grasse, the centre of Perfumery in the world. I was disappointed though not to see the  lavender fields as it was not the season during October. But I was equally happy to tour the Fragonard Parfumeur Factory in Grasse.

As we entered, we smelled right away the fragrant atmosphere inside. It smelled so good of lavender, rose, vanilla and all other natural ingredients that the brand use for their products. Fragonard is not sold in retail. Their products can only be purchased on-line or in France at their shops around Paris, Grasse, Eze and at St. Paul de Vence. Luckily, we were able to visit all of these Provencal towns which I will share with you in the coming weeks. I also previously published my shopping trip to Fragonard on this post, here.

Fragonard Collection of Perfume Bottles.

Some scientific laboratory here to mix all of the natural ingredients to create the perfect mix to make Perfume. But Fragonard now has expanded to produce soaps in all shapes, Eau de toilette, creams, skin care, Cosmetics, Home scents and even a Clothing line.

Some Essences for making Perfumes and Fragonard's various products.

The production of Lavender soap.

Here are the soaps in different kinds waiting for packaging. Some of these soaps are lavender, rose, vanilla, verbena, among others.

The packaging of the soaps. I have tried these soaps and they are divine! They smell so good and so smooth on the skin as they are infused with natural oils.

Egg-shaped soaps which were package creatively in egg containers.

The Duckie soap.

Here are some Room Scent spray already packaged. The lady over there is actually packaging these compact perfume balms which are highly concentrated.

At the end of the tour, was the Perfume sampling experience. Our guide explained to us the essences of each perfume by giving us some samples to smell. Fragonard packaged their Perfume in Guilded Aluminum bottles so that the perfumes will last longer for many years.

Of course after the sampling was the shopping experience.

When you get a chance to visit Grasse, it is worth a visit to Fragonard to be educated in the history and making of Perfumery. Then have fun shopping too.

May you all have a fantastic week ahead!

  5. omg, these are so adorable~ I love the packaging too~

I think the man hanging in air was attached to the pole through some wiring hidden in the coat... cause the hand on the pole was actually fake... but I'm still not sure exactly how it worked...

  9. I am so jealous of your visit to Fragonard. I have one of their perfumes that I love to bits. Unfortunately they're not stocked in Australia anymore so I only ever use that on special occasions.
