Food Adventure at Fortnum & Mason

This was the view that greeted us when we finally reached the ground floor at Fortnum & Mason.
Candies, never ending candies, mints, fruits candies, toffee, liquorice and jelly beans.
All in different colours, shapes and sizes of confections.
Some candies were glazed, coated with sugar or just plain candy.
Which ever confectionery you fancy, it is all here.
I was amazed in childlike wonder.

Love all of the pastel coloured confectionery here.
Turkish Delight is what they are called.
Looks so luxurious in  pink, yellow, cream, beige, mint green or glazed red.
These are what childhood memories are made of...

Here are different flavours of fudge.
Different flavours and colours of confectionery that looks like giant marshmallows.
It won't hurt to try some of these splendid sweets.

The glazed mints in beautiful pastel colours are meant to be devoured.

Then here are the cakes and the pastries...

Try some cheesecake, the lemon tart or the fruit tarts above?

Oh no, I would love to try the Rose Eclair. So beautiful to eat!

Here are some wedding cake inspirations.

Have some cake and freshly brewed coffee too?
So many varieties of fresh beans of coffee to choose from.

A colourful melange of Fortnum and Mason cookies in different flavours.
Biscuits made of Lemon Curd, Orange & Ginger, Rose, Violet, Golden Crunch among others.
Perhaps try some of the biscuits with other flavours of  Coffee blends in the silver tins?
A perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon with a special guest.

Jubilee products of jams, shortbread cookies and Jubilee Tea to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

On the left are more selection of different flavours of candies..
Lemon bonbons, Liquorice Torpedoes, Liquorice Bits & Bobs, Flying Saucers and Piccadilly Tear drops.
Choose some and try some...
On the right are the different selection of teas which Fortnum & Mason are famous for...
Try their Earl Greys, the English Breakfast, Darjeeling, name it, they have it.
All teas are beautifully packaged in their famous teal tins with colourful markings.

Which tea to choose? It is so hard...
There are the fruit teas of Lemon, Strawberry, Mango, Apple,Orange and Vanilla...
The Black teas of Earl Greys, Darjeeling, English Breakfast, Orange Pekoe..
There are green teas too. All  worth a try during Afternoon tea.

A display of fresh ingredients of tea.

Top picture are the Queen's Beasts Ginger Cookies.
Each Ginger Cookie designed with the Lion of England(blue) and the Unicorn of Scotland (pink).
These are the Queen's Beasts which came from the Coat of Arms of several Sovereigns of the United Kingdom.
These Queen's Beasts are a tribute to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
It would be lovely to have some of the Ginger Cookie with the Lemon Verbena tea during a rainy spring  afternoon.

Here are some of the goodies I purchased to bring home and to enjoy.

Fortnum & Mason Piccadilly Store in London.
Don't miss to visit Fortnum & Mason when in London for a splendid shopping and eating experience.

  3. Now I am craving a visit. I remember I brought back their tea for a friend on my first trip to London. I just love it when food is arranged so beautifully that it becomes a work of art--love your photos of all the pastel candies!
