It's like Alice in Wonderland at Fortnum & Mason

Fortnum & Mason Jubilee Tea Set.

Shopping here at Fortnum & Mason reminded me of Alice in Wonderland's A Mad Tea- Party. The whole third floor was filled with tea pots, tea cups, tea saucers, tea strainers, hampers, sparkling wines and then the tea sets again and again...
As Alice thought, 'Come, we shall have some fun now!'
Discover the world of Fortnum & Mason Mad Tea Party.

Here are the Hampers..as Alice helps  the March Hare and the Hatter prepare for their Mad Tea Party.

Alice thought, 'Which one to choose? There are so many?'

'Have some wine,' the March Hare said in an encouraging tone.  Here are some Sparkling Wine from Fortnum & Mason.

The Tea Sets and other tea-things...

Alice asked 'Is that the reason so many tea-things are put out here?
'Yes, that's it.' said the Hatter with a sigh: 'it's always tea-time, and we've no time to wash the things between whiles.'
'Then you keep moving round, I suppose?' said Alice.
'Exactly so,' said the Hatter: 'as the things get used up.'
'But what happens when you come to the beginning again?' Alice ventured to ask.
'Suppose we change the subject,' the March Hare interrupted, yawning.

Here are more tea strainers and tea sets. The tea strainers are packaged in the beautiful teal box from Fortnum & Mason. Aren't they lovely as gifts or for yourself?

More variety of tea strainers, Tea sandwhiches tray and more different designs of tea sets.

Many different Tea sets. Which one will you choose?

This is a lovely blue and white tea set.

'Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!
How I wonder what you're at!
Up above the world you fly,
Like a tea-tray in the sky.
Twinkle, twinkle.'

  1. Pamela,
I am blown away! Fortnum and Mason is like a dream for an anglophile like me! This is where you really see the difference between Canada and the U.S. We have nothing like this or even close. I wouldn't know where to look first. It's all gorgeous! Love it all. Thanks for sharing!

Love all the Alice quotes too. Perfect for this!
