The Americana Mall in Glendale

The American Mall at Bland in Glendale, California.

On the same Friday that we arrived in Los Angeles, my Aunt and Uncle brought us that night  to The Americana Mall at Brand, in Glendale just to stroll around. As you know, the U.S.A is well known for their malls. I would have to say that the U.S.A has the best malls, particularly in California. My two favourite malls in Los Angeles are The Grove near Beverly Hills and this new mall in Glendale, The Americana Mall. What I love about them is not just many different stores and restaurants but also the whole ambiance and urban design of the Malls. Being California where it is sunny and warm mostly 365 days of the year, their malls are designed to be more open and encourages their guests to walk outside on the street side without any vehicle traffic. I love that, rather than being in an enclosed mall like here in Toronto. Well, here in Toronto, we have the four seasons, with our winter that is quite harsh so most of our malls have to be enclosed indoors. I love and enjoy the openness and luxurious ambiance of The American Mall. Other brands in this mall are A/X Armani Exchange, Tiffany & Co, Walter Weitzman Shoes, Lacoste, Sephora, Barnes and Nobles, among others. This week, we will go shopping in Los Angeles by featuring my two favourite malls, The Americana in Glendale and The Grove in Beverly Hills. Here are some shows, stores and places to hangout in the Mall. Let's go discover and enjoy!

The Dancing Fountain and Light Show is every hour from 10 am to 10:30 pm.

Some Stores...

H & M  in-store display.

Madewell sandals are so gorgeous!

oh la,la,la, there is a Sale at Juicy Couture!

Some 3.1 Phillip Lim Paisha Bags at Barneys Co-op.

A proudly Canadian company, Lululemon at The Americana Mall.

In-store Lululemon.

A new discovery, Vera Bradley bags.

Some  more Vera Bradley bags.

Some Places to Eat and relax....

Guests hanging out at the centre square eating, drinking or just people watching under a warm, clear and starry night.

My favourite, Cheesecake Factory Restaurant on the first floor.

An American Diner, Jewel City.

The menu features Classic American Diner Menu of hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, milkshakes and fountain drinks.

Only in Glendale....

An outdoor Grand Chandelier.

Time to go home after a night in the Mall  to get some sleep and get rid of my jet lag...

  2. The grand chandelier and the fountains look fabulous Pamela. I'll make a note in my book for our next visit to CA. I love a good old american diner especially those malts that you can stand a spoon in. Love the window displays, I am a huge fan of OTT shop windows.
