In Rome At Campidoglio

During my visit to Rome in the Spring, I visited the Campidoglio, a classical and beautiful piazza on top of the Capitoline Hill in central Rome. After climbing these stairs, on top is a symmetrical Piazza del Campidoglio built by Michelangelo in the sixteenth century which has two museums on each side: the Palazzo dei Conservatori and Palazzo Nuovo. Inside are collections from the Medieval, Renaissance art collections, Imperial Rome, the Papal Rome and also featured the history of Rome through a statue of the famous twins Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome and the she-wolf that saved them. This is one place worth visiting as it is one of the places in Rome where there was no long line up. I also learnt a travel tip which could save you time, energy and money if you mind the long line up, numerous entrance fees and long walks. Check out the photos below for my travel tip.

A travel secret I learnt is that I was able to view the whole Roman Forum from one of the balconies inside the Capitoline Museum. It was a wonderful discovery to step out on their balcony to see this glorious view of the Roman Forum . This will save you from paying another entrance fee, time from long line up at the entrance and long walk to see this whole thing.

There were also guides and maps on the balcony with the description of the structures in the Roman Forum. One the other end, is the Colosseo. This is the best way to see the Roman Forum up close.
