Peony Festival

The peonies are finally in full bloom. Last Weekend, we attended the Peony Festival at the Oshawa Valley Botanical Garden, located east of Toronto. It was my first time to visit the Garden and Festival. We were amazed by the 300 different peony species in the Garden. We saw rows after rows of blooming peonies in different colours and sizes. There were single and double peony varieties. The peonies were all so lovely, so beautiful, so alive and happy. There was also a band who performed some live music in the background. After viewing all of the display, we walked around the Botanical Garden and discovered a stream flowing across the Park where visitors can play in the shallow water. I hope you will take the time to smell the flowers, appreciate nature and enjoy the moment.

Here are rows after rows of Peony varieties all over the garden.

Even these dogs took the time to smell and admire these peonies.

My favourite and new discovery is this Peony called Gay Paree. It's so pretty!
This is the double Bloom Peony in this vibrant red.
 Live music in the Park.
Kids enjoying this water stream. It's so refreshing and relaxing.

Have a wonderful weekend!

  14. Peonies are so beautiful but they don't grow naturally down here in Southern California. I do miss them. Look at you. As pretty as a flower.
