Nativity Scene from our Home.
The Nativity scene is the depiction of the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day as described in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. The first ever Nativity scene was credited to St. Francis of Assisi in 1223. The Nativity Scene's main character is the Baby Jesus born on Christmas Eve and adored in a Manger, surrounded by his mother, Mary, his adoptive father, St. Joseph and the Angels. The other characters depicted here are the Three Kings from the East, Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar and the other shepherds who came to adore Him with their gifts. Of course, the farm animals surrounded Jesus as He was born in a barn or cave on Christmas Day. O Come Let Us Adore Jesus on this Christmas Day.
