Besides decorating our Christmas tree, one of the things I enjoy during Christmas is setting the table for our family's Christmas Eve Dinner. I get to play by setting our table based on a certain theme. Last year, our theme was red and gold. I used the Nutcracker toy soldiers as Table centrepiece, with matching napkins and a cracker for each guest. This year, our colour theme is Blue, White and Silver. My table setting revolves around my Blue and White Spode China set, then design around it by adding those pine cones candle holders shown in the above picture from Chapters-Indigo. I am still building around my table setting plan. I don't have a Centrepiece yet and have not decided on the colour of the napkins yet. I am sharing with you here some inspirations for a stylish and fun table setting for Christmas Eve Dinner.
This table from William Ashley is very elegant with no need of a Centrepiece.
This table setting I photographed from one of my favourite shops up North in cottage country, Muskoka Living Interiors. I love the red mixed with the Brown and White china with one of my favourite flowers, light green Hydrangeas as the centrepiece. This is a very Christmas theme, don't you think?
This is also an elegant and simple table setting from Muskoka Living Interiors. But instead of gray napkins, I would probably use green and red plaid napkins for a Christmas White, Green and Red colour theme.
I like the simplicity and elegance of this table. White china, with pine cones, some mini candles and fresh pines as centrepiece.

White and gold and full of nature inspiration from Williams Sonoma.
This is my colour inspiration for this Christmas, White, blue and Silver. Hanging blue balls on a Silver Candelabra with white candles will add some whimsical fun to the table centrepiece. But no jewellery. What do you think? Have you thought about your Christmas Eve Dinner and table setting? (Photo credit: Canadian House and Home)
For sure, I will use some Blue and White Spode china, some greenery as a Centrepiece then maybe add some pine cones candle holders from the first picture above on the table. Then it's decided now that I will just use white napkins. Hopefully, that will all work out plus all the food, desserts, drinks and joyful company on Christmas Eve.

Love that twiggy candelabra Pamela. What a fun project to have on Christmas Eve. If it were me I'd go ridiculously overboard, well it is Christmas! :)
ReplyDeletelove this post!!! <3
ReplyDeleteLovely inspiration here. I really like the elegant table in white with the pine cones and your colour scheme is going to be very pretty - the blue baubles hanging from the candelabra is a beautiful idea for a centrepiece. Our table will be white and gold using a combination of items from last year and a few new additions.
