La Société Bistro

Lately, I have trying out new restaurants around Toronto with my friends. One of the restaurants we tried was La Societe Bistro.  The Bistro is described as  "A marriage of Canada’s most cosmopolitan city and Parisian bistro style and cuisine, La Société is a dining destination unlike any other in Toronto. Step inside and your senses will be flooded with the sights, scents, and flavours that your Parisian dreams are made of."  Welcome to La Société

I was very impressed with the interiors. It looked like the Owner, Charles Khabouth, transported a whole Parisian Bistro to Toronto piece by piece. The colourful glass stained ceiling here reminded me of the central glass stained window inside the Galeries Lafayette and the Printemps Department Stores in Paris. Even the decorative tiles and the light fixtures, as you see here, are also reminiscent of the Parisian Bistro. Too bad on that Saturday, the patio was closed due to the rain. But during the summer, patrons were vying for a table in the patio to drink their favourite champagne, perhaps have some oysters with lemon or order their favourite Bistro frites with Garlic Aioli.

A Fall themed deco.

Le Bar.

Choices of Appetisers: Fresh Oysters with lemons, Crispy Pork Belly and Lyonnaise Potatoes with herbs.

My friend and I met for Brunch. We had Mimosa as our drink. My meal was Jambon De Paris (Ham, Poached Eggs Benedict, Hollandaise & Brioche).
Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict.

Save the best for last, the Dessert called French Teaser. My friend and I shared these sweets together with our own coffees. I will definitely come back again.

  7. This is most definitely my kind of place and I know what you mean about the stained glass windows - beautiful and they remind me of the gorgeous ones in the department stores too. Lyonnaise potatoes - delicious and as for the dessert - well, I can never resist a macaron or two. I enjoyed reading the answers to the quiz too. I managed to get quite a few right but number 10 for me has to be Daniel Craig!
