Catching warmth from the fireplace and some Green Jasmine Tea.
Toronto in 2012 have seen several Major Luxury Hotels openings in the City. Besides The Ritz Hotel, Trump International, the new Four Seasons Hotel, one of them is the Five Star Shangri-la Hotel located right in Downtown Toronto. We got the chance to visit the Hotel during a cold winter Sunday to get some warmth and to have an early dinner at Momofuku. We discovered that the Lobby is a local hangout for Afternoon Tea or to catch some snack and a break from the cold outside. There is a long fireplace and the decor is modern Asian. The lobby is very cosy, comfortable and stylish too, offering impeccable and friendly service from the staff and also delicious food and drinks. While waiting to have an early dinner at Momofuku, we decided to hang out in the Lobby and have some Green Jasmine Tea to keep warm. The Shangri-la is definitely a place to visit and to stay while in Toronto. It is a very stylish hotel with great service and offers International riches with an Asian influence.
A modern fireplace for everyone to keep warm.

Momofuku is a highly popular Noodle Bar in Toronto right now. It is the sister restaurant to the Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York City. Momofuku has a communal table setting. We were seated on a long table together with other guests. The menu features Ramen Noodles and Rice bowls, steamed buns and rice cakes, together with some Tea, Sake or Ginger Beer for drinks. The upper floors offers Nikai (the Bar), Daisho (Fine Dining with ala carte menu) and Shoto (Tasting Menu).
Freshly made and so delicious pork steamed bun and Shiitake mushroom with hoisin sauce steamed buns. We ate these too fast.
Saranac Ginger Beer which we tried for the first time.
Momofuku Ramen Noodle Soup.
A delicious Comfort food on a cold winter weather.

The restaurant opened at 5 pm for Dinner. When we arrived there at 5:10 pm on a Sunday, the place was already full. We can't believe it was that busy and popular. We talked to the people seated beside us who informed us that in New York City, there was a line up to eat there. A communal table ensures that the people seated beside you get to see and comment on your meal. We shared information on what was delicious or not too delicious in the Menu. Overall, we enjoyed the food there. The Ramen noodles soup was delicious with the right amount of ingredients. The steamed buns are our favourite now.
I Peach TO (short for Toronto).
Peach is the symbol for Momofuku which means Lucky peach in Japanese.
