My family and I spend our summer vacation here in Muskoka, Ontario, two hours north of Toronto. Muskoka has been named one of the best places to visit in Canada by National Geographic, Readers Digest, Frommers and WestJet Magazine. It has several lakes that visitors can visit and stay to experience the best of Canadian summer: swimming on the lake, boating, canoeing, fishing, paddle boarding and water skiing. Lake Rousseau, one of the big lakes in Muskoka, is famous for its grand boathouses, which are all built on the water and are like floating homes with the grand view. Here are some photos from a boat cruise that we joined to show case the simple ones to the grand. Most of the time, a simple swim can be relaxing and rejuvenating to the spirit and body. Also, hanging out with your family or close friends on top of a boathouse is also one of the joys of summer. A better way to celebrate Canada150 is to come out and enjoy our natural treasures.
